YouTuber Buys A Whole Town In Michigan, Turns It LGBTQ-Friendly After Trump Bans Pride Flags!

There exists a small 5-acre town in Michigan, United States, with a very peculiar name – Hell. The town has an unofficial mayor named John Colone who recently ‘sold’ it for an undisclosed amount. But why are we talking about this place, you ask? Read on to find out.

The town’s new ‘owner’ is a 25-year-old musician and YouTube personality, Elijah Daniel. And he has changed its name to ‘Gay Hell’.

According to HuffPost, Elijah was very upset when US President Donald Trump forbade US embassies from flying the Rainbow flag during Pride Month. CNN reports that he will be serving as the town’s mayor for two weeks and is also working towards buying it permanently. He says his aim is,

“Getting my audience involved in politics by doing it in a funny way.”

Only pride flags fly in Gay Hell and if all goes well, he hopes to organise an annual festival and invite the LGBTQIA+ community to visit.

And the internet is totally on board with his plans. His post has been flooded with appreciative tweets. Take a look.

What did you think of this interesting incident? Would you like to tour the town of Gay Hell on your next vacation?
