Celebrity couple Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar got engaged last month and are all set to tie the knot this week on Christmas. The beautiful bride-to-be previously opened up about her lockdown love story, and they have now kicked off their grand pre-wedding festivities in Mumbai.
Gauahar was seen dressed in a yellow and pink embroidered lehenga with a matching blouse, while Zaid complimented her and twinned with a matching yellow kurta and tinted glasses.
The couple looks completely blissed in the wedding videos as they take part in the Chiksa ceremony (which is the Muslim wedding equivalent of the Haldi ceremony).
On the accessory front, Gauahar styled the lehenga with a stylish maangtikka paired with heavy earrings. Here they are posing with Anam Darbar who is Zaid’s sister.
Visuals of everyone dancing to the dhol beats and making merry also surfaced on social media. Zaid’s father and veteran singer-composer Ismail Darbar also joined in with his happy dance. Check it out:
Zaid’s brother Awez Darbar also posed with the couple. Meanwhile, Gauahar’s sister Nigaar Khan arrived earlier this month from abroad. The rest of her family, who is settled in Dubai, are all expected to come soon for the rest of the functions, News18 reports. They had announced that their wedding would be an intimate, private affair due to the spread of coronavirus.
