Salaries are coming!

Until this year, it was ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ cast who had to their names the title of ‘Highest Paid TV’ stars, with their $1 million per episode. But after a whopping raise (appraisal time 😛 ), our GoTians have taken over and are now sitting on the throne of highest paid TV stars.

So, the Iron Throne can wait, right now. History has been made and five ‘Game of Thrones’ actors are getting paid, wait for it, magnanimous amount of £2 million i.e. Rs 16 and a half crores per episode. #JawsDropped

Actors Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who play Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, Tyrion Lannister and Jaime Lannister, respectively are among the five to bag the deal.

Damn! I am still trying hard to wrap my head around the figures. SIXTEEN and A HALF crores!

 

This is huge. It was claimed last year that these stars were taking home £890,000 per episode, which was massive itself.

And, now after a complex bonus clause which is a shared percentage of syndication payments from across 190 countries where the show is broadcasted, these stars are bagging this colossal amount for the seventh seasons (Part 1 and 2). Oh, and they would even reap benefits from the repeat telecasts.

That means, just one of these stars is enough to own the whole Iron Bank of Braavos, likely.
