Fans Laud Female Cricketer Who Flipped Herself To Stop Ball From Crossing Boundary

While on one hand, cricket fans had their eyes glued on their TV screens to watch the Final IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, there was, on the other hand, a phenomenal match taking place between Trailblazers and the Supernovas in the Women’s T20 Challenge final yesterday. Trailblazers picked up the trophy after beating Supernovas by 16 runs, reports The Indian Express.

However, there was one moment during the match which gave the audience a major goosebumps moment.

Thai cricketer Natthakan Chantham, from Trailblazers, left everyone speechless with her dangerous yet agile fielding skills. In what can only be called an acrobatic move, she went as far as flipping herself to stop the ball from crossing the boundary. Have a look at the video here:

“There were 2-3 brilliant fielding efforts, especially Chantham. I have not seen a girl field like that,” said skipper Smriti Mandhana.

Cricket fans online were left absolutely stumped by the woman’s fielding. Many said that she performed better than any male cricketer they have seen before!

This is indeed a powerful representation of women’s cricket!
