A lot of us grew up with strict parents who wouldn’t let us pursue many of the things that we liked as a kid. Many teenagers had to let go of extra-curricular activities like dancing, music and sports because they were told to dedicate more time towards their studies. Some were even told that things like dance and music won’t help them land a “real job”.
Which is why our hearts melted when we came across one particular father who encouraged his kids to dance on the road along with two dancers in Mangalore who were recording a video for Instagram.
A woman named Sadhana shared on Instagram that she was dancing alongside her dance-partner Pranav Hegde when a man walked up to them and kindly asked them if his kids could join them.
“Read this quote somewhere that said ‘As kids grow they may forget what you said, but they will never forget what you made them feel’ and this video reminded me of this quote. So this super dad walked in when we were filming a reel and was super kind to us and asked us whether his kids can dance w us. I guess they were on a trip to Mangalore and the amount of positive vibes these kids were radiating,” Sadhana wrote.
While his kids were hesitant, especially the daughter, the father encouraged them to dance along freely as there was no need for them to be the best and they won’t be receiving any trophies either.
And while his kids were dancing, the father kept cheering for them from the side.
“We ended up dancing with them and their parents were so happy, especially the dad, he kept cheering constantly. I get the point of making hell lot of money, living an expensive life but sometimes it’s about enjoying the little things,” Sadhana added.
