The Akhtar family is one talented bunch. Just take Farhan Akhtar, for example. He is a singer, musician, actor, producer, and if all that wasn’t impressive enough, he is a poet too!
But you know, no matter how much of a huge star you become, there will come a time when you need a little help here and there. And zarurat ke time toh pappa hi kaam aate hain!
This morning, Farhan Akhtar shared one of his poetic musings on Twitter.
Together they braved it through the storm
with hull half broken, with sails all torn
no wave nor swell could but drown hope
that night is darkest before the dawn #musingHave a nice day. 😊

Nice one, no?
Well, not everyone couldn’t appreciate these beautiful lines because of a language barrier, perhaps. Consequently, someone requested for a Hindi translation of the English verse.
And looks like papa Javed Akhtar, ever the poet himself, had beta Farhan’s back because, what do you know, he replied to the tweet with a lovely Hindi translation!
Good morning Farhan . Some one has asked for the Hindi translation of your stanza . Here you are – Toofan mein jo nikle thay Vo log nidarr thay /patwaar toote, badbaan taar, bhanwar thay/ Sahil ki aur savere ki ummeed Na doobi / gehre andhere jab ke Bahut pichhle Peher thay.

You know what I find sweet though? How Javed sahab began the tweet by wishing his son ‘Good morning’!
Of course, Farhan noticed the tweet and promptly thanked his dad for it!
Thank you for the translation .. 😊❤️@Javedakhtarjadu https://t.co/2VxPnfOJoY

Dads! *sigh*
Isn’t that a nice little story of Akhtar helping Akhtar? 🙂
