Emraan Hashmi’s 8 Year-Old Son Finally Defeats Cancer, Actor Pens Heartfelt Post

Indian film actor, Emraan Hashmi is all set to make his Bollywood comeback with his upcoming comedy-drama and Soumik Sen directorial ‘Why Cheat India’. While the return of the actor who was last seen in Baadshaho is a moment of happiness, there is something of greater significance and elation, which makes the hour a special one for him.

It gives us immense pleasure and joy to announce that Emraan Hashmi’s 8-year-old son Ayaan, has been declared cancer free after 5 years of struggle. Emraan took to social media platforms Instagram and Twitter to confirm the jubilant news.

In case you do not know, Ayaan was diagnosed with a rare case of kidney cancer in the year 2014. In a bid to share his son’s story and raise awareness about the disease, Emraan also wrote a book called ‘The Kiss of Life: How A Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer’ along with Bilal Siddiqi.

Putting forward the example of his son in the touching post, Emraan mentioned that the disease is beatable. He also thanked everyone for their prayers and good wishes.

“Today, 5 years after his diagnosis Ayaan has been declared cancer free. It has been quite a journey. Thank you for all your prayers and wishes. Love and prayers for all the cancer fighters out there, hope and belief goes a long way. You can WIN this battle!”
