India Offers Land And Invites Elon Musk To Test ‘Hyperloop’ In Pune

Imagine travelling from Nagpur to Mumbai, a distance of over 800km, in under 35 minutes? Impossible? Think again. Futuristic transport systems such as Elon Musk’s Hyperloop, with a speed of 1,120kmph, can make such impossibilities a reality.

Our Union Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, just offered Elon Musk land in Pune as a testing site to run his Hyperloop prototype. 

Elon Musk has been offered the westerly bypass of Pune connected to the Express Highway to run his Hyperloop as a pilot project.

Hyperloop is a futuristic transport system through which capsules are propelled using simply air and can achieve speeds of 1,120 kmph, making it an extremely clean and efficient mode of transport. 

Along with land area, Nitin Gadkari has also encouraged Elon Musk to set up a manufacturing base in India for other clean energy projects like solar battery storage and electric cars.
