Drunk Men Abuse Model & Her Friends Over Parking In Mumbai, Disgraceful Video Goes Viral

Alcohol can sometimes turn out to be your worst enemy and there is no denying the fact. While there are some who manage to act responsibly after drinking, the others just get carried away and pull off some disgraceful stunt.

And a group of drunk men in Mumbai, who went out of control under the influence of liquor, definitely belongs to the second lot.

It all started when Ashmita Jaggi, a model, was about to enter a restaurant with her friends close to the Citi Mall on the Andheri Link road. However, she had to wait outside the eatery because of a red Hyundai Eon, which was already occupying the space she decided to park at. There was a woman inside the Eon, who told Jaggi to hold on for a few minutes as the ‘boys’ would be there soon.

Taking to Facebook, Jaggi acutely narrated what transpired next. According to the model, she saw a healthy man, who was apparently drunk, come and make his way into the car’s driver seat. In a bid to remove his car, he started and reversed it, only to crash it into Jaggi’s car. It was then when the model shouted at him for being irresponsible.

“We patiently waited. After 10 minutes, I witnessed a heavy man waddling his way to the driver’s seat. He started the car and reversed it…before I knew it, he bangs into my car from behind. I get out of the car and yell, ‘You are clearly drunk and you’ve just banged my car. Wake up, let someone else drive.”

The man who was sat on the driver’s seat has been identified as Romi Kohli from New Delhi.

On seeing the unfortunate incident, two of Romi’s friends came and apologized to Jaggi. Scared of her car being banged again or some accident which might happen if Romi drives the car, Jaggi asked the two men to get sober and drive the car. In an shameful turn around of attitude, the two guys, who were also drunk to their limits, started to abuse her awfully. Not only that, but they even made gestures which were the heights of obscenity.

“While I’m saying this 1 sardar and his other friend Bunty come to me and start apologizing for the hit. I calm my nerves somehow and get back into my car… take it a little ahead… But Mr Drunk Romy sir doesn’t Budge… He refuses to move from the driver’s seat. I’m scared he’s either going to bash my car again or maybe kill someone else on the road cz of his drunken state. So I tell these guys standing next to my car, who were apologizing a minute ago, to get someone sober to drive… However cz they too were horribly DRUNK they chose to start hurling abuses.. bang my car…Show offensive Gestures and threaten us to harm us much more.”

The Mumbai-born model decided to record the whole incident on her phone and inform the police. A significant crowd gathered at the place due to the loud incident and asked the girls to leave as the drunk men were out of their senses.

“We immediately informed the police… took recording of the harrassment and I stood my ground refusing to leave cz I knew I was right. This continued for a good half an our or so and because it was a busy hour and the heart of Andheri west there was a crowd of 50-60 people who became witnesses to this horrid scene. All these spectators kept urging us to leave cz we were all Girls and these idiots were drunks who were capable of harming us more. So to save ourselves we had to leave!!”

However, what comes as a good news is that both the men were arrested on Monday evening.

It is outright shocking that how we still haven’t learned to give women the respect they deserve. And it is because of these kinds of men, that the safety of women in this country remains a crumbling illusion.
