Stray Doggo Attends Kirtan In Gurudwara With Devotees On Guru Nanak Jayanti, Watch Video

People who own a pet or are ardent animal lovers know how they can be the most sensible, sometimes funny and always moody. They can be the most vulnerable when you least expect them to be. Out of all, I have a soft corner for dogs. They are cute, playful, sensible and act the most ‘human’ at times. Remember the musically inclined doggo that sang a kirtan among a bunch of devotees earlier this year? Well, this stray doggo sitting among a group of devotees will prove why I am fond of them.

The Sikh community across the world celebrated Guru Nanak Jayanti on the 12th this month. The day this year was even more special as it was the 550th birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism. Kirtans were conducted in Gurudwara’s across the world and prayers were held to celebrate the auspicious day. A group of Sikhs were also earlier spotted singing the Shabad Kirtan at the Great Wall of China. Among all the people who celebrated Gurpurab seeking blessings from the almighty was this stray doggo, reported India TV. Three small videos of a dog were shared on Facebook by a user named Gurpreet Chawla.

He was later given a blanket and the traditional ‘Langar’ to eat.

The videos were liked by thousands of people and the internet was in awe of this adorable doggo.

One of the teachings of the Sikh Guru is that God dwells in every one of God’s creations, be it human, animals or the tiniest insect. The doggo enjoying the holy ‘bhajans’ and people giving him the due respect is the kind of humanity the world needs right now.
