Singer Diljit Dosanjh, who has previously been in the spotlight for his Twitter war with actress Kangana Ranaut, took to the social media platform again to issue a clarification amid reports of an I-T probe against him.
Diljit has now shared a photograph of a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ received from the Ministry of Finance for paying taxes. He wrote, “I wasn’t feeling like but here it is — The circumstances are such that I have to now give a proof of my Indian citizenship. Don’t spread hate.”

The ‘Platinum Certificate’ shows the Government of India certifying Diljit of paying taxes and filing Income Tax Returns for the year 2019-2020, as well as his Indian citizenship, News18 reports.
In the following tweet, he added, “One doesn’t need to sit on Twitter and prove they are a patriot, one needs to work towards it.”
