Nashik Couple With Hearing, Speech Impediment Runs A Panipuri Stall Where Everything’s Homemade

I really love the term ‘differently-abled’. It does not just give a positive and more acceptable spin to people suffering from physical and mental impediments but also allows them to reclaim their power in more ways than one. There are differently-abled people who are winning marathons and becoming IAS officers. It is incredible to see how when one door closes, several others open for them.

Similarly, a couple with a speech and hearing impediment in Nashik, Maharashtra, have opened their own panipuri stall. A video of them was shared by an Instagram page named Street Food Recipe.

In the video, the couple describes their work through sign language. While the man says that he and his wife work together and make all the items at home, the woman encourages the viewers to come and try their dishes.

She makes a delicious-looking plate of panipuris for the camera by adding flavoured water and green chutney. Have a look at the video here:

“Deaf and mute couple defies disabilities to run a humble little Pani puri stall in Nashik. Everything they serve is homemade by them, even the puris. I really love how they maintain cleanliness while serving the food. This couple are the real influencers that our generation should follow and learn from,” the page wrote.

Several people showered their love and support on the couple and urged others to visit their stall. Some were also left inspired by how they turned their life around for the better.

Stories like these go on to prove that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. And this couple is hella tough!
