Delhi Cops Donate Blood To Save A Thief Who Shot Them, Show That Humanity Is Their True Duty.

Kindness is hard to find in this ruthless world that we live in. So, when we read about incidents that reflect nothing but humanity, we cannot help but feel relieved that good souls still exist.

This is what happened in Delhi when some cops were trying to arrest the alleged burglars who were fleeing the crime scene.

A team of Delhi cops shot bullets at two suspects and one of them named Nitin was severely injured. They took him to the hospital and in a very kind gesture, Ashok Kumar (right), a constable, donated his blood to save Nitin’s life!

Constable Ashok Kumar is a regular blood donor but this was the first time that he donated blood to a crime suspect. Kumar said,

“Shooting at the criminal was my duty. I am performing my humanitarian duty now.”

Residents of the building saw two suspicious men, Nitin and his associate Salman, trying to jump from the compound wall and immediately called the police. When the police tried to stop them, the alleged burglars opened fire at the policemen. Ashok said,

“A bullet whizzed past my left ear and I pulled the trigger in self-defence. My colleague, ASI Ramashray, too began firing.”

Five bullets hit Nitin and he collapsed on the ground. He was rushed to the hospital where he underwent a surgery to remove the bullets from his body. SS Rathee, a station house officer said,

“Doctors said he would survive but require three or four units of blood.”

SS Rathee, a station house officer and head constable Rajesh also donated blood to save the life of this suspect! And now Nitin is out of danger.

This surely was another good day for humanity and we are proud of our policemen for showing such tenderness.
