As per a report in The Indian Express, CSK won the toss and decided to bowl first. Right-arm pacer Deepak Chaharsent back opening batsman Mayank Agarwal in the 3rd ball itself, and power-hitter Chris Gayle as well who had just scored 10 runs. Chahar further reeled pressure on the opposition by taking the wickets of Deepak Hooda and Nicholas Pooran. Ultimately the target of 106 in 20 overs was not too difficult for the yellow brigade and they managed to chase it down easily with 26 balls to spare.
