As a country of uncountable traditions, we’re not alien to above-mentioned ‘beliefs’ that otherwise may seem superstitious and there’s proof. Because while the West is utilising the lemons they got from life (in their tequila shots), we, on the other hand, use it with some chillies (snatched from the sabziwala) to keep buri nazar away. But then every single country on this globe has its own superstitions and I’m going to tell you about one.
According to Indian Express, a 70-year-old woman from Mianyang in southwestern Sichuan province, China vandalised a fortune-teller’s stall.
Why?
Because the astrologer told her the elderly, identified as Wang, in March last year that she would not live to see 2018. And when she did, she sure made to give the reader a taste of his own medicine.
“I was terrified when the fortune-teller told me I wouldn’t be able to live until the end of last year. I worried every day”.
That’s right. When she ran into the astrologer’s shop after outliving his false prediction, she took out her anger by thrashing the shop until the police had to intervene.
No, nobody ended up behind the bars but the police made the astrologer apologise to the woman for the inducing fear. If this incident teaches us anything it is the fact that if a cat crosses your path it is because the poor animal has to go somewhere! I can suddenly hear Phoebe…can you?
