Woman Opens Plane Emergency Gate Claiming It Was ‘Stuffy’ & She Needed Fresh Air!

It is universally known that there are some things you should never do on an airplane – get off your seat during take-off and landing, smoke, and open the emergency door. Turns out, there are some who never get the memo!

A Chinese passenger opened the emergency door of an airplane because it was too “stuffy” just as the crew was preparing for take-off.

According to sources, this act caused a lot of chaos amongst the passengers and the crew, who were thrown off-guard by the incident. The take-off of the plane, which was stationed in at the tarmac at Wuhan, was halted resulting in the delay of the Lanzhou-bound flight.

Prior to the incident, an air steward reportedly warned the passengers seated next to the door to not touch the handle of the emergency gate, but the accused ignored his warning as he walked away.

A video of the incident went viral on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The video shows how much of a commotion was caused within the plane while the accused sat beside an open emergency gate.

The cabin crew went on to report the incident to airport security, who went on to take the woman away for interrogation.

“The emergency door had to be shut again and a second round of safety inspections had to be carried out”, reported sources.

People really need to pay more attention to airplane security guidelines!
