Whether it is a 7-year old Rohtak girl’s impressive helicopter shot, or a 6-year old boy saving his sister from a vicious dog attack, children are surely leading the way. This new story of a little budding archer from Tamil Nadu is sure to leave you mesmerized.
As per a report in HT, Sanjana, a 5-year old girl hailing from Chennai is in a bid to set a new world record, having shot 111 arrows in 13 minutes and 12 seconds while being suspended in the air upside down. The event took place on August 15, 2020. Check out the photos below:-

As per TOI, the girl’s trainer, Shihan Hussaini said, “Sanjana became the first child in the entire world to set a record for shooting 111 arrows in 13 minutes and 12 seconds in the upside-down position. She has set a mindblowing record. We are going to send it to the Guinness Book of World Record for validation.”
The coach also added, “Normally in any world competition and national competition, the trained archers shoot 6 arrows in 4 minutes which means 30 arrows in 20 minutes.” That’s not all, She achieved this feat while shooting the arrows non-stop and also managed to hit the bull’s eye! She performed brilliantly in the presence of various dignitaries like the chief guest Pramod Chandurkar, who is the Secretary-General of the Archery Association of India, and also Virendra Sachdeva who is the president of the Delhi Archery Association. Additionally AAI’s chairman too saw the event online with a panel of judges who recorded the proceeding that would be submitted to Guinness, Times Now reports.
Sanjana’s father too revealed her future plans saying, “Sanjana will make one record every Independence Day till she is 10 years old after which she will train for the Olympics in the year 2032, bring home several gold medals, and make her country proud.”
