Pet parents will agree when I say that cats have personality. Some of them are playful while others are like Garfield. Lazing around all day, only getting up for food. But no matter what they like to do, one can’t deny the fact that they’re really smart. They can unlock doors for their owners and sometimes, for themselves too. Don’t believe me? Read on to be amazed.
Aliyah Steele is a student at the University of West Georgia. And her roommate, Ciara Davis, has a cat named Cubby Jay. Both women were surprised by the fact that the cat managed to open doors on his own. To find out how exactly he did this, they decided to secretly film him.
Unbelievable is an understatement for what they found.
My roommate’s cat is always breaking out of her bathroom. I set up this hidden camera to find out how…and y’all….i- 😂💀 pic.twitter.com/AUDN9IWPNE

Cubby Jay is one resourceful kitty. And his antics have earned him 2.5 million views on Twitter. Along with 49,000 retweets. Talk about an overnight sensation. The tweeple were most excited and some of them even shared their own pets achieving the same feat. While others remarked that cats might just dominate the world in the future. I must say, the prospect doesn’t seem so unlikely anymore.
This is what people had to say about Cubby Jay’s cleverness.
This would be 10x better with the mission impossible music

They're smarter than we know. Forget Planet Of The Apes. Cats will someday take over the world.

I’m going to share this video with people who think only dogs can be taught to do tricks and help around the house. Clearly, cats learn simply by observing humans.
