Swedish Brand Sells ₹4600 ‘Carrying Strap’ For AirPods, Twitter Says, “That Makes Them Headphones”

The world was first introduced to AirPods in the year 2016. While the latest version is minimalistic, sleek, sweat + water-resistant with an active noise-canceling capability, at their heart, they are first and foremost WIRELESS Bluetooth earbuds.

They’re ridiculously expensive, the butt of “They Can’t Hear Us” memes and the subject of hilarious pranks. But their USP is that they give us freedom from entangled cords and cables. Which is why it is ironical to see online retailers selling straps for them!

NY Post reports that these are sold by Swedish manufacturer Tapper and turn AirPods into normal earphones for Rs.4600. According to Business Insider, these companies are capitalizing on people’s fear of losing the earbuds as they are prone to slip and fall off.

Twitter thinks that irony just died a thousand deaths and spending money to convert wireless earbuds into regular earphones is absolutely crazy.
