A few days ago, a heartreaking video of a bull desperately running after a mini truck for 1 km in Palamedu, Madurai, began circulating on social media. The reason for the behaviour was that the temple bull named Manjamalai was trying to stop the vehicle from taking away its BFF, a cow named Lakshmi.
According to Hindustan Times, Muniandiraja, a tea shop owner lives in the area. He reared Lakshmi along with Manjamalai and the animals developed a special bond. However, due to financial constraints, he had to sell his cow. The incident took place when the cow was being taken to the new owner.

India Today reports that the video was subsequently seen by Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneer Selvam’s son OP Jayapradeep. He paid the new owner and brought the cow back to the temple where both animals were reunited. He requested the authorities to never separate the animals and also promised to contribute towards their expenses.

Earlier, a High Court Chief Justice read about the plight of a lawyer weaving baskets to make ends meet and decided to help him out. It sure is great to see people coming forward and spreading kindness.
