It’s a known fact that lovers come and go but a friend always has your back. But a man in China seems to have taken this quote to heart. The man was captured slapping his best friend’s wife over and over again in front of everyone on stage after he “caught” her kissing another man during a kissing contest.
The businessman was allegedly furious upon finding his best friend’s wife, who is also his employee, kissing another man during the competition. In one of the videos, he can be seen running across to the duo when he spots them while another captures him brutally slapping the woman. The incident occurred on Sunday in the country of Meitan in southern China’s Guizhou Province. The competition was organized by a local match-making company, reports News 18.
According to Daily Mail, soon after the clips of the brutal act went viral, the unidentified man extended his apologies to the woman. He said he was trying to stick up for his best friend who was unaware of the contest.
The man further said that he was one of the sponsors of the event and was accompanied by five to six of his employees at the event when the incident happened. ‘The competition had required all contestants to be husband and wife or lovers, but I didn’t know the man [she was kissing],’ the report quoted the boss saying. ‘My employee brought a companion with her and claimed to be his girlfriend to win prizes,’ he added.
He said he had apologized to the woman and an understanding had been reached. However, it remains unclear if the victim sustained any injuries. The man also apologized to the public who expressed their anger towards him for the incident.
