T20 Finalists England And West Indies To Wear Black Armbands In Memory Of Kolkata Victims

As you may have read and seen in the news, tragedy struck Kolkata when a flyover collapsed and killed 25 people.

 

As a mark of respect for the victims of this disaster, the West Indies and the England team will be wearing black armbands during their final match in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup.

 

In addition to the men’s teams wearing armbands in mourning, the women’s teams that are participating in their World Cup finals will also be wearing black armbands.

 

Australia and West Indies face off in the women’s version of the Twenty20 final.

It is a noble gesture by the teams in memory of the innocent victims who passed away in this horrible accident.

Having said that, may the best teams win!
