Indian politicians say absolutely anything and everything when they don’t know they are on camera. One such example is of Vel Singh Bhuriya, who is a Bharatiya Janata Party legislator from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh.
The former RSS functionary lost his cool while talking to the journalist and threatened to encounter him in a public meeting. Bhuriya was questioned about farmer compensation and he didn’t like the way he was he interrogated.
He said, “Talking of my rights, I even have the right to encounter someone, if people breach peace and indulges in problematic activities. You have made me the MLA so respect me like one.”
After few minutes, he realised his mistake and said that he didn’t know the person he was talking to was a journalist. He tried to cover up the situation by saying that this matter should be discussed in private and not in front of the public.
Luckily, someone from the crowd recorded the video of him threatening journalists and here it is by News18 – English !
