Renowned philanthropist and the co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates has been travelling across India for a couple of days now, meeting with innovators and locals and learning about various government welfare schemes. In a video that he shared on social media, he wrote, “I’m in India this week to experience what I believe is its greatest gift: its ability to innovate.”
However, he met with one of the most unexpected people and posted a video with him – Dolly Chaiwala from Nagpur! In case you didn’t know, he owns a roadside tea stall near the old VCA stadium in Nagpur’s Sadar area. His real name is not yet known, but he is famous as Dolly Chaiwala. He also has a booming social media presence, with over 890K followers on Instagram where he shares creative videos of himself at business.
Bill Gates shared a video with Dolly Chaiwala on Instagram and wrote, “In India, you can find innovation everywhere you turn—even in the preparation of a simple cup of tea!”
