Remember six-year-old Alex who wrote to U.S President Barck Obama, asking to bring that little boy from Syria, home? Alex who moved and touched every soul that was torn after the air strikes in the town of Aleppo? The same kid who knew what the world badly needs, compassion?
After the bloodied picture of Omran Daqneesh, sitting expressionless in an ambulance in a terror-stricken Syria went viral on the internet, Alex didn’t let his age deter his thoughts!
Well, recently the POTUS invited the little humanitarian over and hosted him and his parents at the Oval Office in The White House. The president also thanked him for his kindness.
“I liked what you wrote so much that I ended up reading it to everybody. You being so nice, and kind, hopefully makes other people think the same way. So I was very proud of you.”
Alex was dressed up in a brand new suit for the occasion and was very excited to meet the man he had so much to say to.
The White House took the opportunity to film the occasion and the video will move you to tears. Watch the entire video here.
In times as such, when we can soon expect a wall standing between America and immigrants, this kid is definitely restoring our faith in humanity. And who knows, maybe he will come back one day, as the future POTUS!
