Ayushmann Khurrana Talks About Taking A Break From Work To Be With His Family

Ayushmann Khurrana is a man of many talents. He’s been a radio jockey at BIG FM, a video jockey for MTV and a host for various award shows apart from being one of the most celebrated actors of our time. In addition to showcasing his acting mettle in movies like Andhadhun, Article 15 and Dream Girl, he’s also a talented singer and poet.

On the personal front though, the 35-year-old superstar is a loving husband to wife Tahira Kashyap and a doting father to son Virajveer and daughter Varushka.

And he’s planning to take some time off work to spend quality time with them. NDTV quoted the actor saying,

“All of last year and most of this year I was shooting four back-to-back films. So this past one year was really tough. But now I am taking care of it, and I will strike a balance.”

“I am taking time off from mid-November to be with my family. I don’t know how long the break will be. It could be two to three months, maybe more.”

He further added, “I haven’t signed any film after Bala. After November 15, I am completely free to spend time with my family. I do realise my children are growing up and my wife needs time from me. I am making a conscious attempt to take time off from work periodically.”

Ayushmann’s choice of movie scripts has been lauded by Bollywood fans across the country and he will continue to read them during his sabbatical.

“I will be looking at scripts while I am home. Even if I lose out on work (during the vacation), it’s fine. There is an imperative need to take time off. It rejuvenates you.”

His break is certainly well-deserved. We hope he comes back with more exciting content for us to enjoy.
