Situations in Chennai, the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu worsened on Monday as the protests for Jallikattu went violent. So when local hero Ravichandran Ashwin arrived in the city after the England ODI series in the evening, he found it difficult to reach home travelling in a car. So the modest and down-to-earth cricketer chose a safer option to travel.
Amidst the Jallikattu protests, Chennai Metro Rail commuters were in for a happy surprise on Monday evening. Ravichandran Ashwin decided to take the public transport to reach home from the airport.
As Ashwin headed inside the metro coach, fellow passengers tried their best to take a selfie with him. Humble as he is, Ashwin fulfilled his fans’ wishes.
The ace spinner posted a picture of himself travelling in the metro on Twitter, thanking the airport security.
Such situations dictate usage of the public transport, thank the airport police for taking me through safely!🙏 pic.twitter.com/MbxpikiMHy

Jallikattu protests may have brought Chennai to a halt, but Ashwin’s fans sure got a moment to remember out of this.
