Anurag Kashyap Is Asking People To Download Masaan On Torrent. Here’s Why He Has A Point.

Let’s make it very clear – Masaan was the best movie of 2015.

And the thing with good movies is, it has to be enjoyed as it is – no cuts at all.

Apparently that is what Hotstar did when they featured Masaan on their website.

 

And Anurag Kashyap, who is the producer of the movie explicitly appealed to the people to not watch it on Hotstar, alleging that the cuts have destroyed the movie’s experience. He went on to suggest that the interested parties go and download it on Torrents

If you haven't seen Masaan , better to download it on torrents or watch a pirated Dvd than see it on hot star. It's mutilated on it.

After this the film’s writer Varun Grover also came out in support and appealed people to download it on Torrent

The film’s director Neeraj Ghaywan, however appealed people to go and buy the BluRay or the DVD, but requested people to not watch it on Hotstar.

I urge you NOT to watch MASAAN on @hotstartweets. It is a senseless cut made without my knowledge or consent. Get the Blu-ray/DVD instead.
