There’s something about Alia Bhatt that makes her almost everybody’s favourite. I don’t know if it’s her millennial outlook to life or just her carefree, unabashed self. No doubt she’s proved herself time and time again as the powerhouse of talent on-screen, but she’s so much more than that, right?!
Today is the diva’s 25th birthday. That’s right, the girl who stole our hearts as Shanaya in Student of the Year has hit the big silver jubilee. To celebrate this milestone, her mother shared a heartwarming message for the star narrating the story behind her name Alia.
Wishes streamed in from all over the country but it was her father, Mahesh Bhatt who shared a heartwarming photograph from the actor’s childhood.
I for one completely agree with Mahesh Bhatt, she is a miracle. Isn’t the picture just tugging at your heartstrings? No, just me!?
But unfortunately the diva is currently far away from home in Bulgaria. She’s working hard and shooting for her upcoming film, Brahmastra. However, it seems like Alia is really missing her family on her big day. After all, we all want to be close to our near and dear ones on our birthdays, right?
She took to Instagram to share this absolutely precious video with her father. Cute as a button, baby Alia is on Mahesh Bhatt in a pink dress as he sings ‘Happy Birthday’ for her.
She even adorably calls out to her mother, Soni Razdan who appears to be shooting the video.
Childhood friend and designer Masaba Gupta too shared a throwback picture with the Udta Punjab actor saying, “This photo is proof that I’m the awkward, slightly off-centre one and you are the happy, happier, happiest child there ever was.”
One thing is for sure after seeing all these childhood photographs of Alia, she was even cuter as a baby than she is now. (And I didn’t think that was even possible!)
Shaheen Bhatt, Alia’s sister and partner-in-crime too showered some social media love saying, “25 years ago today, I was just moseying along, minding my own business, when my life changed forever.”
