Afghani Woman Lost In New York Shares How A Kind Bus Driver Helped Her & Didn’t Accept Money

To leave your home and city, travel to a completely new place and start from scratch can be a very scary thing to do, especially in a world that is fast and where people are self-centred. It always helps to find someone who is kind and willing to give you a helping hand. It instantly makes one’s day better. Here’s a beautiful example.

An Afghani woman named Shkula Zadran, who is a student at New York University, hopped on the wrong bus in the city. Her phone was dead and she didn’t have any cash. The bus took her to the wrong side of the city.

“It was midnight, my phone was dead. I didn’t have any cash or cards on me. I got on the wrong bus which brought me to the opposite side of the city,” she tweeted.

Naturally, she felt lost and stressed, but the bus driver was very kind. He gave her a ride to the opposite side of the city where she was meant to go initially.

Shkula took his number and transferred him money but the man refused to take it. He texted her saying that people are supposed to help each other and that he cannot accept money from her. His name is Noel.

“I was lost and stressed, but the bus driver was kind enough to help me. He offered me a ride and drove me back to my destination. Got his number and zelled him a few bucks to show appreciation, but he refused to take it.”

People online lauded Noel’s kindness and showered him with a lot of love. Here’s a look at some of the reactions to the woman’s tweet:
