Back in July 2021, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and producer-director Kiran Rao announced their separation after 15 years of marriage. In an interview, the ‘Lagaan’ actor agreed not giving enough time to his family.
And amid their family tensions, rumors of Aamir having an affair spread like wildfire. People also assumed his alleged extramarital affair was the reason for his second divorce.

Speaking about his divorce, Aamir recalled a conversation with his now ex-wife Kiran and shared with News18, “She would tell me that even when we discuss something as a family, I’m always lost somewhere. She said I’m a different kind of person. She very sweetly said, ‘I don’t want you to change because if you change then you wouldn’t be the same person who I fell in love with.’ I’m in love with your brain and your personality. So, I would never want that you change.”
“But today when I reflect on what Kiran told me seven years ago, I would say that I have seen a lot of changes in me in the past 6-7 months.”

Divulging on his split with his first wife Reena Dutta, Aamir said that it wasn’t because of Kiran unlike what people think.
“When Reena and I got separated, there was no one in my life. A lot of people think that Kiran and I met before my divorce from Reena but it’s not true. Kiran and I had met but we didn’t really know each other and we became friends much later.”
Addressing the current rumors of his speculated affair being a reason for his break up with Kiran, he said, “No. There was no one back then, there is no one now.”
Aamir and Kiran’s divorce is definitely heartbreaking. But if they have decided on it then let’s make peace with it and give them some privacy. Also, stop with these image tarnishing rumors please.
