In today’s global economy it is not uncommon for people to travel to different cities, states and even countries in search of better opportunities. However, US Senate candidate Lauren Witzke recently tweeted saying most migrants can’t integrate into society and dared anyone to prove her wrong. And chef Vikas Khanna took up the challenge.
Most third-world migrants can not assimilate into civil societies.
Prove me wrong.

If this isn’t a mic-drop response, we don’t know what is!
Being a recipient of highest awards from Eleanor Roosevelt Award to Benjamin Franklin Award to Game Changers to Michelin Star to James Beard Nom to Oscar Eligibility 2020 to “The Hottest Chef in NY” to being on the cover of @nytimes & many publications to cooking for 3 PRESIDENTS pic.twitter.com/8owu9SbibQ

Several other people who migrated to the United States listed out their achievements, language proficiency and career highlights in response. People also reminded her that CEOs of Microsoft, IBM, Adobe and Google were also migrants.
“Third World” refugee here. I have a PhD in English and I won a Pulitzer Prize in Fiction. What have you done?

Both sides of my family are from a 3rd World country and now live in the USA and France.
Among the immigrants in my family are a professor, five medical doctors, an engineer, and two lawyers…
What the fuck have you done with your life?

Last I checked a map, there is only one world, not three.
I came to America 30 years ago as a refugee from Liberia. Today I‘m a physician, professor at Harvard and run a nonprofit, training & employing other Americans. I assimilated just fine.
Immigrants — we get the job done. https://t.co/auIO35cZ6G

Has she heard of Kamla Harris and Nikky Haley? And Bobby Jindal.

I think @LaurenWitzkeDE is racist. Here are some names @sundarpichai @satyanadella, Arvind Krishna CEO IBM, Shantanu Narayen CEO Adobe and many more who are just first generation emigrants & did excellent assimilation in your society and are leading you to a better future. Enjoy

Equally applies to all tech giant CEOs who migrated from India to America and made it great….And yes they assimilated well !!! One need not to forget once own culture to assimilate with people of different culture and society…

Twitter also pointed out that her tweet was racist and grammatically incorrect.
This senate candidate is racist.
Prove me wrong. https://t.co/onsTAq83td

The irony in her tweet is that she doesn’t know ‘cannot’ cannot be written as :can not’. As per the basic grammar rules. All I think is she should focus on her English and mind her own business.
