Bhopal’s Shiva Kewat has a problem with stepping out of the house. He has a legit fear that a bunch of crows are going to attack him. This isn’t a crazy nightmare that he has been having. In fact, he has been experiencing this for the past 3 years!
It all started when Shiva tried saving a crow chick when it got stuck in an iron netting but unfortunately, the poor bird died in his hands. He alleges that ever since the incident, crows have been plotting his death because to them, he killed one of their kind.
“The crows attack him like they show fighter jets diving towards a target in movies,” the villagers said.
According to sources, the attacks have been happening every day since the incident. Crows allegedly wait for him to leave his home, and when he does, they stalk him for a while and attack him. He even has bruises on his head!
Shiva now carries a stick wherever he goes and tries to shoo the crows away whenever they come for him. But he makes sure not to hit them.
Ashok Kumar Munjal who is a professor at Barkatulla University, Bhopal, is of the opinion that crows are more intelligent than most birds and that they remember faces of those who wronged them.
Researchers at the University of Washington also believe that crows hold grudges and are able to gather other crows and conduct “coordinated attacks”.
It’s just sad how the poor man only wanted to help but became a target of their wrath instead. Imagine how scary it is to be attacked by crows!
