Delhites Can Now Enjoy Panoramic City Views As Signature Bridge Reopens To Public In June!

The iconic Signature Bridge in Delhi which was delayed for over 14 years was finally inaugurated by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in November 2018. The bridge was later closed to complete the observation deck atop the 154m pylon.

The bridge connects Wazirabad across the Yamuna to the inner parts of the capital. It is double the height of Qutub Minar constructed by the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) at a cost of about Rs 1518.37 crore.

The Signature bridge is set to reopen for the public in June, say reports. Ever since it was announced, the bridge has been hitting headlines for its similarities with the Eiffel tower. Visitors can reach the top of the bridge in four elevators with a total capacity of 50 people at a time.

 

The glass box constructed on the top of the bridge will give people a bird’s eye view of the entire city. It will be a tourist attraction as soon as it is opened to the public. Locals and tourist can enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the observation box which is constructed at a height of 154-meter from the ground.

The bridge is 575-meter long with a 250 mm thick steel plate fabrication, reports India Today. Several graphical representations depicting modern and progressive India are present on the bridge. It will also have several selfie spots for visitors to click stunning pictures.

The Signature bridge is also India’s first asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge, with the gesture ‘namaste’. Delhites are eagerly waiting for the bridge to reopen soon so that they can experience the stunning beauty of the magnificent bridge soon!
