It was some night (umm, four days ago) that Indian beauty Manushi Chhillar was crowned Miss World 2017. It was after 17 years that we desis were thumping our chests with pride that an Indian gal from the lanes of Sonipat (Haryana) is named the most beautiful women of the world.
And, why not? She’s an epitome of grace and a perfect of example of beauty with brains. She floored all with her answer at the beauty pageant and received a thunderous applause for it.
Congratulatory messages must’ve started pouring in from all sides for her and she has became a household name. We’re pretty sure her family is flooded with good wishes and a lot of adulation. Amid all that, her friends and family, and even someone who’s remotely connected to her will be like, ‘Hey! I know her. She’s my ______.”
Well, it was just a couple of days ago that a two-year-old video of Manushi went viral where she was talking about medical profession in India and how she wants to make a change.
She gave her medical entrance exam in 2015 and took guidance from Aakash Institute.
Hopping on the “We know Manushi and are proud” bandwagon, Aakash Institute put out a Facebook post lauding Manushi’s achievement and that she was an ex-Aakashian (that’s what they’re called), of whom they are extremely proud of.
They wrote,
“We are so proud of our student Manushi Chhillar(2015 batch) for winning the prestigious title of Miss World 2017. Thank you for inspiring millions & showing that if you believe you can, you will.”
They even updated their cover image and commented on it,
Hein?
Finding it a bit odd? Well, so are these netizens.

2. That’s what everyone’s saying.
OMG! I can't believe this. Aakash institute is somehow trying to get mileage out of Miss Universe 2017. Education (or lack of it) is getting funnier. pic.twitter.com/Bj0XHFpJGT

8. They comments on the post sum up everything.
Well, to us it seems like Aakash Institute is like those rishtedaars we all have who latch on a relative’s success. Not a classy move, peeps at Aakash Institute!
What do you think about it, though? Classy or not? Let us know in the comment section below.
