FLOTUS, Melania Trump is as (in)famous as her husband, POTUS, Donald ‘let’s make America great again’ Trump. While America is in an apparent and painful hangover, it’s drunk with power Presidency is enraging people worldwide. The last time, if I can recall well, Melania was called out for plagiarising a speech. If you think that was savage, you’re going to be surprised.
Now, in her attempt to own up to the role of First Lady, Melania has tweeted for the seventh time since Trump left Towers for the Oval Office but as destiny would have it, she is in the middle of a hashtag backfire. And it has just begun.
Recently, Melania Trump gave actress Emily Ratajkowski a token of her appreciation for coming to her defence when Emily heard a New York Times reporter calling Melania a ‘hooker’. FLOTUS tweeted,
Applause to all women around the world who speak up, stand up and support other women! @emrata #PowerOfEveryWoman #PowerOfTheFirstLady
— Melania Trump (@FLOTUS) February 14, 2017
And now, the hashtag #PowerOfTheFirstLady is trending for all the wrong reasons.
1. Some call it classic BURN
God, I feel sorry for Melania. Can't even hire an intern to come up with an inspiring hashtag below 20 characters 🙁 #PowerOfTheFirstLady

5. Couldn’t have said it better!
#PowerOfTheFirstLady to use position to make $$$ out of gullible Americans?

6. Somebody, please tell that to the Trump household.
You're supposed to USE that power to lift others up, not flaunt that you have it. #HashtagFail https://t.co/7RSOCiKQOG

11. Only if
The #PowerOfTheFirstLady is being wasted. It should be used to change the world, not to keep your world as sheltered as you possibly can.
— Steve Redmond (@sjredmond) February 16, 2017
People even took the opportunity to mention the 44th First Lady, Michelle Obama. And how!
12. So do we!

#PowerOfTheFirstLady is an honor, not a privilege. Americans deserve a full time @FLOTUS who actually wants the job.

Bet Melania Trump didn’t see that coming. Also, I would personally like to meet her image consultant and give her my slow claps!
