Success has nothing to do with age. A 6-year old Korean YouTuber recently purchased a 5-storey building worth Rs.55 crores with her own earnings and a 12-year-old student from Uttar Pradesh has already penned 135 books and claimed 4 world records.
According to NY Post, 7-year-old Mikail Akar from Cologne, Germany, is being hailed by the art world as “pre-school Picasso”. His parents gifted him with a canvas and hand-printing paints when he was 4 and discovered his talent for abstract art.
Mail Online reports that he recently collaborated with Germany and Bayern Munich football star Manuel Neuer and their painting sold for over $12,000 (Rs. 8.5 lakh), the proceeds of which went to charity.
The world’s youngest abstract artist counts Jackson Pollock, Michael Jackson, and Jean-Michel Basquiat as his idols. One of his techniques is to punch paint after wearing his father’s boxing gloves.
His father and manager, 38-year-old Kerem Akar was quoted saying, “He only paints when he wants to. Sometimes that is once a week, sometimes once a month. If it gets too much for him, we will intervene. We turn down a lot of requests.”
The young painter has an exhibition showcasing his work lined up in Cologne and Paris but his dream in life is to be a sportsperson. He was quoted saying,
“When I’m older, I want to be a football player. Painting is quite tiring for me. Sometimes it can take a long time … especially with boxing gloves.”
Here are some more of his abstract pieces:
We wish him all the very best for the future!
