104-Year-Old Woman Says She Wants To Be ‘Arrested’ Once In Life, Police Grant Her Wish

At one point or another, almost all of us have thought about being in Aladdin’s shoes. Because then we’d get to rub a magic lamp and encounter a wish-granting genie. We’ve also spent time and grey matter in planning what those wishes would be. A sea-facing villa, a trip to Mars or even a meeting with our favourite celebrity.

But Anne Brokenbrow, a 104-year-old senior citizen living in a care home in Bristol, England, made a very unorthodox wish. To be arrested!

We're loving Anne's wish, Avon and Somerset Police do you have time to pay a visit to a local troublemaker?

Anne lives in the Stokeleigh residential home. Recently, they asked everyone to fill a form with their wishes as part of ‘The Bristol Wishing Washing Line’ initiative. She wrote,

“My wish is… to be arrested. I am 104 and I have never been on the wrong side of the law.”

And the Avon and Somerset Police department happily obliged.

According to ABC News, the mock arrest took place on March 20, the International Day of Happiness. The wish was granted with the help of UK charity Alive Activities.

She was ‘arrested’ on the charge of being an ‘upstanding citizen’.

What a magical day! Today Anne got her wish to be arrested at the grand young age of 104 for being a upstanding…

Anne completely enjoyed the whole experience and even requested that the sirens be turned on while she was taken away in the police car. This just goes to show that we should never stop making wishes. Who knows, they might just come true.
