Every day, I repeat, every day the morning paper comes with at least one news of how a woman was molested/ abused/ raped. Did I say a ‘woman’? I meant a 5-year-old girl who was sexually molested by her uncle, a college going 16-year-old who was ogled at by her professor, a newly married 25-year-old who was raped by her own husband and an 80-year-old elderly, who had plastic bottles inserted in her private parts by the domestic help, half her age!

But I have been told the ‘protectors’ are on-duty! Perhaps, they were busy dragging consenting adults out a hotel room! In any way, there is one thing that I have realised; ‘you have to be your own superhero!’

While I am at realising, a braveheart has taken the matter into her own hands and thrashed a hood of bike-borne eve teasers, near Gautam Pali police station. The best part? As the cops watched, the girl snatched the baton from the cops, beat the hooligans to pulp and saved her girlfriends from further harassment.
