Jobless Man Allegedly KILLS His Wife Because She Failed An MBBS Exam For The 3rd Time

They say when you’re truly in love with someone you do everything in your power to make sure the person is happy. But sometimes, when love crosses its primitive innocence, makes you completely vulnerable and leads to nothing but your own destruction, then beware, because it is clearly not love.

In a horrific incident, a 24-year-old woman from Telangana, K Harika, was murdered and set ablaze by her own husband after she failed to secure a seat in MBBS college, for the third consecutive time. Her husband K Rushi Kumar, 26, was unemployed and wanted to live on her money.

Rushi himself was an engineer but did not want to work and had been staying with Harika in the same colony for two years now.

The couple had strained relations, right from the very beginning. With Rushi’s constant demands of dowry from Harika, she was forced to appear for MBBS exam so she could become a doctor and fulfill her husband’s luxurious needs.

Adding more to the dreadful incident, here is what  P Venugopal Rao, ACP of the area told Hindustan Times, 

“The relationship between the two was strained from the very start, with Rushi constantly pestering Harika to bring more dowry. The accused also wanted her to become a doctor, so he could live comfortably on the money she earned.”

Prior to this year, Harika had appeared for the MBBS entrance exam twice and failed in both the attempts. After failing this year too, she somehow managed to get a seat in a dental college. However, this did not satisfy a greedy Kumar and he decided to kill her.

It was the neighbors of the two, who smelled the suspicious death first and called the police at once.

Rushi, however, claims that it was a suicide and not a murder. Although Harika’s family have a completely contrary statement to this. Here is what they told NDTV.

“Harika and Rushi got married two years ago. He had been harassing her as she didn’t get an MBBS seat. She got (admission in) BDS this year. He also harassed her for dowry… It is a planned murder.”

Rushi is currently under police custody. His parents have also been arrested and booked under the dowry act. The cause of Harika’s death will remain a mystery till her post-mortem report is out.

Shocking right? Was this love, really? In this era of people blind in love, it is very important to understand that for anything or anyone that does not treat you right, simply does not deserve you.
