Northern lights are a spectacular sight to watch. These are not shiny lights, adding a tinge of beautiful colour to the otherwise dark sky, they are a phenomenon that grows upon you and is completely out of this world.

I see myself witnessing it with my own eyes, one fine night.

Till any of that becomes a reality, Damon Beckford from Helsinki, Finland will keep traveling around the world and bring us the joy of the northern lights!

What a beautiful world we live in!! 😍🌍 I can't believe what we got to see on our return flight to Finland from Iceland! I've always been dreaming of seeing the auroras from a plane. Last night was a G1-class geomagnetic storm and the flight left at 1am, perfect timing 👌 this is how Iceland wanted to say goodbye to us ❤ and the picture is definitely not the best quality and quess why? The Drunken Sauna 🍻👻 I re-visited this super cool location about a month ago, when i thought was the last auroras of the season. They weren't haha. I wanted to go here to get a new, better quality shot of the sauna and auroras with my Nikon and yeah, got lucky again! Without the dark, we'd never see the auroras! 😉 I just had to post this. It's from the same night and same location as the other one i posted, but the shape of this one is just amazing. Turn your screen and it's an aurora butterfly ( or a bird! Or tell me what you see?) !! 😜 But anyways, the G2-class geomagnetic storm on 2nd of April produced the most amazing auroras I've ever seen. I couldn't believe that they get so strong, that the only thing i could do, was to lay on my back and just watch at them with my mouth open, because photographing them was truly difficult as they moved so fast. Please sea, don't take me! 🌊 One of my favorites from our Lofoten trip with @mpxmark. This seascape was shot on the same night that we spent in the cave. The clouds and auroras made a really rad sky for this shot. I was scared of getting my gear wet or falling into the sea, as there were occasional big waves crashing on the rock's. 21. Snowboarding in northern lights, WOW!

I had an great time at @pyhaskiresort, definately will go there again when the snow conditions are right because the backcountry there is amazing! Aurora Strike ⚡ Here it is, my favorite from our Norway photo-roadtrip! Our final destination of the trip, the Andenes Lighthouse with my buddy @mpxmark . I was only dreaming of a shot like this! This is from the same epic night, when the whole sky was in flames because of the G-2 class geomagnetic storm. It took us so long to get to the Lighthouse, as we stopped at many different locations to photograph the auroras. And the dawn was already breaking when we reached this spot.
