This Awesome Campaign By Star Gold Has Turned Amitabh Bachchan’s Home Pink!

“Hamare yahan ghadi ki sui character decide karti hai” – Advocate Deepak Sehgal played by Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Pink

If you’ve watched Pink already, you would know the shiver that runs through your body when the court scenes transpire. A feeble yet assertive Amitabh Bachchan trashes one stereotype after another and you feel like getting up from your seat, applause, and cheer for the moment, cheer for the attitude, and cheer for the impact you know this movie is going to make.

What is Pink? And why Pink?

Pink isn’t just a stereotypical color that’s featured on products that are so-called ‘girly’; Pink is an attitude, a statement, a way of life.

It’s about reiterating that a girl’s character is exclusive of the venue, be it a rock concert or a temple. It’s about keeping in mind the fact that if a girl goes out for dinner with a guy, it’s a matter of choice, not an invitation of ‘availability’. It’s about understanding that no means no, doesn’t matter if said by a paid sex worker or your wife.

To spread & celebrate the idea of Pink, Star Gold has come up with a brilliant campaign

Here’s the goosebump-inducing recitation of the powerful poem by Amitabh Bachchan that runs during the end credits of the movie.

Star Gold has turned its whole packaging and logo pink to spread the concept of ‘Pink’. They have also turned their Facebook/Twitter/Instagram accounts Pink.

Inspired by Star Gold, people have started joining in, from SNDT college to Carter Road to Bombay Art Society, everyone is endorsing the PINK phenomenon.

To spread the message far & wide, Amitabh Bachchan is leading by example by turning his own bungalow, Jalsa, Pink.

When Big B turns his home Pink, you can expect everyone to follow suit. Although this gesture is symbolic, it’s a powerful indicator of the changing times, of changing behavior, of changing attitudes.

The topic started to trend on Twitter too

So here’s your chance to paint the town red pink

It doesn’t matter if you have already watched the movie, you can always appreciate it again. You should infact make your parents, siblings, and everyone you care about, sit and watch it with them on TV.

That’s right. Pink will be on TV tomorrow, 23rd October, Sunday 1 PM on Star Gold.

Afterall, Hamare yahan ghadi ki sui TV ka program bhi decide karti hai. 😀 #sorry
