A mom would do anything to protect their little ones, shelter them from the evils of the world and shower them with immense amounts of love. Right? That’s how moms are. And motherhood is a beautiful and inexplicable feeling.

But why do people still raise their eyebrows upon seeing a mom breastfeeding her child? What’s so unnatural about the process? Nothing — is the answer. People are going that extra mile to shatter the taboo around breastfeeding and embrace it.

Take this photographer mom, Yaky Di Roma, from Florida for that matter. The Venezuelan photographer‘s photo of her breastfeeding her son, 3-year-old Hans, while dressed as Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty is going viral. Yaki told PopSugar,

“I wanted to dress up as Maleficent so badly because I wanted to show that even the most evil creatures would do anything for their little ones.”

She put it put on Facebook and people are wowing at it. But some asked her why is she still nursing her three-year-old? That has a very touching story behind it.

Yaki explained how Hans has autism and has a hard time transitioning. He has found comfort in breastfeeding and she’s doing what she can to take care of her son. She told Huffington Post,

″Of course I want to do whatever I can to help him. I just want to be a good mom and in the end, that’s what moms want to do, right? Be good moms to their little ones.”

Normalising breastfeeding with her photography, she wanted to break the rules with her own photo

“I wanted to break the rules of the soft and airy mom photo.”

She says that breastfeeding her son isn’t easy and is like a full-time job for her. But she would do anything for him.

She loves capturing moms. When caught in a moment with her son, the end result was priceless.
