Jagga Jasoos Actor Bidisha’s Father Reveals The Details Of His Last Call With Daughter

A renowned face in the Assamese TV industry and known for her fleeting appearance in Jagga Jassos’s Bihu song, actor-singer, Bidisha Bezbaruah allegedly committed suicide on Monday evening. She hung herself by the neck with a dupatta in her Gurugram flat.

Bidisha’s husband, Nisheeth Jha has been taken into custody on the charges of abetment by her father, Ashwini Kumar Bezbaruah. He has accused the husband of an extra-marital affair which consequently forced Bidisha to end her life. He said,

“She wanted a divorce. I asked her to be calm, but she refused to listen and disconnected the phone call, saying `let me take my own decision’.”

Her father has spoken to a local News Channel (DY365) and fired some ‘explosive allegations’ at Nisheeth (Bidisha’s husband) and her in-laws. The video has been transcribed by the Storypick team and this is what it says –

Bidisha was married only a year before she took the step to end her life. Her father’s first allegation,

“After 6 months of their marriage, they started having heated arguments”.

Ashwini Kumar then alleges that Nisheeth had an affair with his ex-girlfriend even after being married to Bidisha. And, she found all out about it. He said,

“She found out that the person whom she loved and got married to, he used to have an affair with a girl before marriage, and even after marriage he was maintaining the relationship secretly.”

His third allegation was directed towards Nisheeth’s parents. His parents used to ridicule Bidisha daily for being mentally incompetent.

My heart sinks to think that a young, talented woman, who had her whole life ahead of her, took this step because she assumed that as her only option.

Maybe, we take the societal pressures too seriously. A broken marriage is not something to be ashamed of. Only if someone would see her pain and hear her, she could have been saved.
