Christmas spirit was quite something this year and people love the holidays. Kids across the globe waited for Santa and received their gifts. While other families cherished the memories, the family of a vegan chef and motivational speaker and author, Anthony Milan Ross, saw a nightmare.
Anthony did a Facebook live session with his 11-year-old boy, Nigel, on Christmas eve. They sang Santa Claus is coming to Town.
But 90 minutes after that, Ross allegedly shot the 11-YO, his 10-month old daughter Anora and his 38-year-old estranged wife Iris Ross.
According to a report by Daily Mail, the 45-year-old allegedly shot them. He was arrested on late Monday night. When the police came to his house, he had a six-hour gunfire exchange at his Phoenix, Arizona apartment complex.
The vegan chef shared the video with his 6200 followers, who were shocked to the core upon hearing the news.
Witnesses saw Anthony shoot his estranged wife when she was trying to run away from him. They even asked him if she was fine and he pointed the gun at them and said, ‘No’. They heard more gunshots after Ross entered the apartment.
When the police reached the scene at around 4 p.m. on Monday, they found Iris’s body outside and then when they tried to enter, the gunshots began.
According to ABC 15, Iris’s sister Mary Wogas received texts from Anthony, who was battling depression, that said he had killed the kids. She said,
“I received a text yesterday around 2.52pm. Two messages, first one saying, ‘I just killed Iris and the kids’. The second message was ‘with a gun’. I knew that man was very unstable. I knew he had a very, very dark side. I didn’t know it was this dark.”
Sgt. Jonathan Howard told Daily Mail,
“Throughout the negotiations, he made comments that he had killed the children. He made some notifications to some family members that he had killed the children.”
A police officer was injured by sharpnel in the gunfight that took place between Anthony and the officers, but he’s stable and safe now.
The man had undergone a massive transformation after adopting veganism and has been a motivational speaker since then.
He was going through a divorce and was visiting the kids for the holidays.
He has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder. And, more than a dozen counts of aggravated assault on an officer.
This is so scary and really disturbing.
