Back in 2017…yep, waiting for it to sink in that 2017 is now past us. *sigh*
Anyway, back in 2017, ‘Stranger Things Season 2‘ became insanely popular and the craze is now fueled by fans waiting for the third season of this science-fiction-horror show. The actors, including kids and adults alike, have garnered a huge fanbase owing to the show.
In October 2017, soon after the second season was released, a fan by the name of Damaris Fregoso tweeted to David Harbour, one of the leading characters of the show, asking how many retweets would it take for him to shoot her senior yearbook portrait with her.
.@DavidKHarbour how many retweets for you take my senior photos with me

In case you need a reminder for who David Harbour is, this is him.
Being a sweetheart that he is, David replied to this fan and thought he could get out of it without saying ‘No’ by quoting a high number. So he enthusiastically quoted 25k retweets.
25k. And I get to wear the school sweatshirt and hold a trombone. https://t.co/xPNEE681J4

David was clearly mistaken if he thought the netizens wouldn’t make this happen. Within 24 hours of his reply, the Twitterverse was already retweeting Damaris’ tweet, and before he knew it, she completed his challenge.
His co-actor, Noah Schnapp also urged fans to retweet her and make it happen.
Come on guys, go retweet, I need to this picture pic.twitter.com/1tS2T6gxAw

Even the official Twitter account for the show tweeted in support of this.
This is gonna be good. pic.twitter.com/LKgew1hfdL

He tweeted again saying,
Holy hell, internet. How can you be in favor of this? Friends don’t lie. @posttdamaris DM me… https://t.co/xPNEE681J4

Damaris is supposed to send in her portrait pictures for the yearbook before 10th February. Since David has been shooting for a movie, there were concerns as to how the promised photo-shoot would happen.
As per a report by The Modesto Bee, however, Damaris and 6 of her family members flew down to LA and David set them up in a luxurious suite at The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel. The next day, the photo-shoot took place at the Netflix studios and voila! Damaris said,
“He was just so funny. It didn’t seem forced, he seemed really genuine. I was nervous but he made it flow,” she said. “The way he was acting, I was like, ‘He is a cool dude, so don’t be too crazy,’ you know.”
By the looks of it, I’m sure it was a lot of fun to do this photo-shoot. Three cheers for David for being so kind, generous and funny. Not to mention that although I’m slightly envious of her, I am so happy that Damaris got to fulfil her wish for the senior yearbook. Kudos to you, girl!
