In a deceptive world that we live in, people are ready to con you and take advantage of you in any way possible. Though there are good people too, they are less in number. Amid the businessman, a section of the vendors or sellers you come across have some tricks up their sleeves to deceive you.
I remember going grocery shopping with my mum, and she would always make sure s/he weighed the things properly in front of her. I used to wonder why she did that, but after hearing the things that these vendors do, I was amazed. A sample of this showed up on my timeline.
In a Facebook post, shared by user named Vikram Maiya, there are four videos that show how grocery vendors have been cheating the common folks by altering weights and by changing bags craftily. Have a dekko and be careful, people!
In the first video, we see a fruit-seller conning a buyer by placing a piece of fruit on the weighing scale.
In the second one, the one selling onions, in a very sly manner switches the plastic bag right under the buyer’s nose.
In the third one too, the onion seller switches wrapped parcels in a real smooth move. Smooth criminal!
As for the fourth one, it looks like a fair price shop or a local kirana shop. He likes things old school and plays the oldest trick – of placing weights on scales – in a cunning manner.
These might be old videos, but are still making us more aware of the way people are being cheated on. So that the next time you go shopping, be careful and make sure you check the scales and the package before leaving.
