Bahrain PM Offers Help To Man Who Carried His Wife’s Dead Body Shows Humanity Is Not Dead

A few days ago, there were news reports about a man from Odisha who was denied ambulance services and, as a result, had to carry his wife’s dead body on his shoulder for 10 km, with his young daughter by his side. bahrain pm

Moved by the story and the man’s suffering, the Bahrain PM, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has come forward to offer Dana Manjhi financial aid for the suffering which he has faced.

The premier of Bahrain was moved by the news reports floating about the helpless man who was denied an ambulance from the hospital in Kalahandi district to his village 60 km away to carry his dead wife, and felt that ‘he had to do something to help.’

 

If the aid goes through, it will be channeled by the Bahraini Embassy in Delhi. Although there hasn’t been a concrete statement on the Bahraini premier’s wish or the amount he’ll be donating, sources in the Indian Embassy at Bahrain confirm this action.

The source was quoted as saying,

“The Bahraini prime minister responded to media reports on the incident and has made an offer for humanitarian assistance. He has decided to make a contribution but we have not yet received any official confirmation regarding the amount of money or when it will be made.”

 

There haven’t been any reports of any politician coming forward to help this man ever since the news surfaced.

As this news comes to light, a question on the back of our minds begs to be asked.
