I know you watch cooking videos on YouTube all the time. But you haven’t actually made anything right? All of us (myself included) just find it more convenient (and less dangerous) to order food online. And most of the time, we use delivery services like Zomato, Swiggy, UberEats etc. Which is why it’s important to see this case of food tampering brought to light yesterday.
A video surfaced on Twitter and everyone is at a loss for words. A Zomato delivery executive is on his bike. He has a bag full of pending orders. He is nonchalantly eating food out of boxes and then resealing them. What’s more, he does it more than once. After he’s done, he goes back to his scheduled deliveries. As if nothing is amiss.
The video in question has been retweeted 6000 times!
This is what happens when you use coupon codes all the time. 😂 Watch till end. pic.twitter.com/KG5y9wUoNk

The video has raised questions on the reliability of their service. Netizens are second guessing future orders. Most want better safeguards that act as a deterrent for such unprofessional behaviour.

2. Quality control?

3. Gross
what he did is too gross and wrong. But it is also possible he was overworked and hungry. The cause should also b investigated.

4. Whyyyy?

5. Strict action required
They (@Zomato) should have anticipated the possibility and should have used tamper-proof tapes right from day one. The blog entry/their response is typical corporate damage control response.

The delivery executive in question has been removed from the payroll. Additional measures like tamper-proof tapes have been proposed. Will they be enough? Tell us what you think.
