If you thought Gopi Bahu washing a laptop was heights, check this out. A Bengali serial named ‘Gouri Elo’ showed a woman worshipping a painting of ‘Monalisa’ with garlands and incense sticks.
According to the story, Gouri is a village girl who has been married into a rich and affluent family. She is yet to adapt to the family’s modern lifestyle and is fascinated by the interiors of the house. In her husband’s room, she comes across various paintings hung on the wall, one of them being Leonardo Da Vinci’s ‘Monalisa’. However, Gouri thinks that it’s a picture of a goddess. Being of a pious nature, Gouri begins to worship the painting.
